Counting my blessings

I feel like I should do this now.

We were married in the temple, and we pay our tithing. We try to live the principals taught in the Bible and Book of Mormon, as well as follow our modern prophets' counsel. We're not perfect, far from it, but we try.

Even though we just got married less than a year ago, we have been able to pay off our car and buy a house. BUY A HOUSE!
We have EXTRA money in the bank. Not lots, but something to fall back on if we need to.
Tim has a great job. I don't have to have one!
We have consistently been healthy enough to not need a doctor since we've been married.
Our dogs are healthy, getting healthier every day.
We have been safe since our wedding day. Even when we lived in bad neighborhoods, we were never threatened, never robbed, never had reason to fear. Even the "thugs" in the neighborhood liked us and were kind to us.
We have food and to spare. Every time we invite friends over for food, they like it, and even though they usually eat a good portion of it, we don't even come close to going hungry for it.
We have paid off our credit cards - twice! - since our wedding.
We have family that loves us and watches out for us.
We have the Spirit in our home. We feel this every day, and it is the best part of every day.
It's hot, but we have two air conditioners in our house...and I may be a little uncomfortable every now and then, but it's nothing compared to the plight of those who can't afford the electricity that air conditioners need.
We have learned how to make food, money, clothing, and time stretch in ways we didn't think possible....because we've had to.
Even though we thought it a great curse that we didn't conceive when we wanted to (a few months ago), it's worked out. Because we don't have the added expense pregnancy brings, we've been able to pay off a lot more debt...and our net worth is now positive instead of negative!

We are so grateful for the gospel in our life. We KNOW that without it, hardly any, if any at all, of these blessings would be ours. We know that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, and that Gordon B. Hinckley is a prophet of God. We know the Book of Mormon is true, and we love to read it. We don't know what the Lord has in store for us next, but we're excited for it!
